I've done a major redesign of the portfolio. There are model albums and portfolio albums. Obviously, the models show up in the ports. However, the ports organize around themes that I'm working in, while the model albums display some of the best work of the models and me that isn't in one of the ports. I hope this makes it easier to navigate for everyone (myself included!).

I have far too many irons in the fire, but that's the way I like it, really. I shoot lots of the standard stuff - weddings, anniversaries, sporting events, what have you. My cousins and I have our own graphic design company, and while we produce a lot of the standard stuff - print advertising to business cards - we have recently begun doing gallery shows. But, my passion is photography, and I handle most of the photographic and editing side of the business.
There are several things that I hope to accomplish with any model I work with. First of all, I want us to have fun. If it's not fun, then the work won't look fresh and relaxed. Second, I don't really want to shoot a lot of the "normal stuff." As you can see from my lists, I love juxtapositions of light and dark, of shadows and color, of the human form and architecture. I also have an abiding love of trains. Most of my shoots with trains don't involve models at all, but since Model Mayhem is mostly about models and shooters working together, there aren't many of my "just train" shots here. I'm sure I'll put up some of my train projects on myspace and facebook. There are also lots of our landscapes and other non-model related work there.
But, most importantly, I enjoy trying to capture images that are different in some way. Even when shooting the classic poses in standard settings, I like there to be an edge. Maybe it's the intensity that the model brings to the shot that I try to capture in my own feeble way. Maybe it's the composition that is just slightly askew. Maybe it's some subtle intrusion or something that is anachronistic.
My other interests are in natural looking shoots that are not overly shopped. I have great respect for photoshop. In fact, I use it every day. Still, there's something neat about the shot that isn't shopped, that has a natural look and feel to it.
So, that's a lot about me and my thoughts. If you think we might collaborate on a project, please don't hesitate to contact me. While I don't require escorts for models, of course, escorts are always welcome. I figure that if the model is comfortable, then the shots have that much better of a chance to be something special.
