Hello, I'm a composer, producer and developer of singers. MM is a curious place is it not?
If you are a model that sings (or wants to) or if you play an instrument and are looking for a way to move forward with your musical goals, I would be interested in hearing from you. Music is a great, highly personal way to diversify your content and get more people talking about you. I've actually met more wonderful and talented people from MM than I have from traditional music sites! go figure!
FUN FACT! There are only 12 intervals or the distance between musical notes. It doesn't matter what style of music you are talking about*. The reason why most people struggle with singing is not that they cannot produce a good sound it is because they do not hear where to move to when they sing. Most people can sing an octave which is enough to do one song. This hesitation / confusion generally leads to a poor vocal sound which is compounded by being the wrong note. I correct these problems. Many vocal coaches do not effectively cover intervals because their bread and butter is typically preparing a singer to sing a cover song for live performance. A few singers can learn to sing this way, but most of them already had good voices - the vast majority end up sounding like they are photocopying the original singer's melody line, and like a photocopy, its never as clear and authentic as the original. LA trained amateur singers typically struggle when they go to become their own artist unless they already had a very good ear, usually derived from playing an instrument. Make no mistake about it, the voice is an instrument, and I teach my singers how to trust it and record with it.
* In places such as Turkey there exists micro tuning, but Western Music (Bulgaria and moving westward from there) is derived from the 12 tone, chromatic pitch collection.
A few (3) caveats just so we don't waste time on potential non-starters.
1. I do not allow escorts in the music studio, unless they are willing to sing and/or pay for my time. I can provide MM references upon request.
2. I don't use auto-tune. All my singers have to be able to sing. If you are able to sing and want the "auto tune" sound as an effect, then that is a different story. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then even better!
3. The singers that do the best working with me are self starters, can communicate well, and have their own transportation. If you have to rely on a ride, then not only do we have two schedules to coordinate, but three. This might work for a single photo shoot, but for making real music in a studio it adds up to FAIL.
Any photography that I do is typically incidental to the purpose of making music. My skill level as a photographer is obviously that of hobbyist. Still, I'm happy to capture the moments when music is being made. Music is a journey after all.
I love international culture and my most recent trip sent me to Bulgaria to attend folk music festivals in Sofia and Veliko Turnovo. I have friends from all over Eastern Europe and my style lends itself well to the European sound and mood. I've uploaded a few pictures from the music festival, one of the best experiences of my life.
If I've left you a comment on a photo, it was because I truly enjoyed seeing what you are doing with photography! So keep up the great work and keep on smiling!
