Dear Mayhem,
Tragedy has struck my family this year in more ways than one. I have found myself out of options and this Christmas I face homelessness alone with my two children.
First it was the car swerving towards me out of control on the hwy flipping my car into a ditch. My car was totaled and the the person who caused the wreck just left me there (upside down in my car) and was never caught!
And Now,.. Now I am losing my home.
Because of the irresponsible nature of the babysitter, who now faces prison for assaulting his girlfriend on my property, my landlord has issued me a 24 hr eviction. Even though she understood it was not my fault, completely out of my control and we would be safe from ever seeing that person again, she could only grant me a few extra days till the 15th of Dec to get everything out. I have never been evicted nor did I ever expect this person to behave violently. I would never have someone around my children this way, let alone babysitting them for me! If only I had known...
I have fought and struggled all year to get on my feet, all while attending school full time. As a single mother with two children nothing is easy with no support. I mostly survive off of school loans, and not only am I getting buried in debt, it is very tight. I always hear stories about how women and families are taken care of in my situation yet there are no resources. It has been so hard to get where I am and now we are truly losing it all regardless. My kids don't deserve to be in a shelter this christmas. So I am going to try something different and I am asking for your help.
Please help my family get back into a home. Donate to something you know will directly help a family in need. I have donated to a woman in need on here before, so I figured maybe like her I too could have your support in a time of crisis.

This is the way it should be, communities taking care of eachother where our government and state has failed to treat us fairly or at times made it so impossible to survive. With your help I am going to put school on the back burner and reduce my schedule, apply for every job I can, and if I can gather enough funds to pay a month or two of rent I think we will be ok.
