On the commercial side of the business I shoot publicity photography for artists of all mediums. I can shoot formal classic to edgy contemporary. I do quite a bit of actor and model headshots and portfolios. I’ve also done a vast amount of music CD Covers, Magazine Spreads and written many articles and have authored a couple books on photography and lighting.
The Professional Photographers of America Association have honored me several times with the Photographer of the Year Award. I’ve traveled the United States and internationally giving lectures and seminars in both English and Spanish. Several of the largest manufacturers and suppliers in the photographic industry have sponsored me and have used my images to promote their products, including: Speedotron, Mamiya, Photoflex, Quantum, Fuji and Kodak.
With all that said, I am grateful to Commercial Photography for providing a livelihood for me. But Art Photography is what drives me. I’ve been active in art since before I started shooting. My artwork has hung in galleries and museums internationally and appeared in many publications. I have several art series that have kept me busy through the years. I especially enjoy working on one of my signature series, La Muerte that is based on my Mexican culture's holiday; “Dia de los Muertos” or (Day of the Dead) I started this series and have been photographing additions to it for over twenty years. I am always working on one series or another. I look forward to working with more new people and keeping the flame of inspiration burning. I am always looking for new talent for ongoing projects.
I am a professional and accomplished photographer with many years experience. This is how I make my living. I also frequently exhibit my art photography in galleries and museums using models in my work. On occasion, I am willing to (Trade Posing Time for Photography) with models having the features that would be compatible with the art concept being created. I am not too concerned if the model does not have much experience. As long as you have the features and interest, I can do the rest. I want to work with serious people only. Please, No Divas Without A Clue. I am down to earth and easy to work with. Contact me and lets talk about ideas.
