Ummm, yeah...I am OFFICIALLY done with Oregon, and will be moving back to Austin, TX very very soon: which is still not soon ENOUGH for me, thanks.
I miss the inexplicable magic vibe there, my friends, the incredibly kind people, the music, the culture, and what's that
other thing called, again...? The big orange warm thing in the sky...?
Oh yeah...the "SUN".
They don't have that here in Portland, apparently.
Christ on a flipping
cracker...no offense to those that love it here...but damn, guys. The weather
alone is depressing as hell (to
me, anyway).
Although it was against my better judgment, I gave Portland a year of my life...but I have no regrets, really.
I learned. I grew. I evolved. Point-of-fact, there were quite a few good things that came from my being here. It's just not for
me, and I have never been one to sit around waiting on happiness to find me. That is one of the few things in my life that (for the most part) I am in control of.
Taking the helm, now...see you there, soon
