I discovered photography quite late in life and I am mostly self-taught. I started getting interested in creative work while working in Advertising at J Walter Thompson quite some time ago. Did a bit of writing and editing later on when I was the Associate Editor for The Leisure Times Magazine, following that mostly I worked as a Cordon Bleu Chef and still do a few TV shows a year on Cookery, although cooking is most a hobby now.
I now work full-time as a Professional Photographer since I discovered the wonders of photography. Been doing for quite some time now and lovin it
I prefer working on location and shooting more editorial styled work although most of the beauty work and commercial work demands work in a studio which is no big deal either. Lighting used will depend on the work or look I'm after so I'm not much fussed about what I use as long as the job gets done. I might shoot without any lights sometimes if it calls for it
I love what I do and am quite serious about my work, there for I expect the same from everyone else on my sets. I'm quite easy to work with since I get involed in almost every part of the shoot from initail concepts to working with the stylist, MUA, Hair and models.
* I do a limited amount of TF work if I find the the model interesting and I can muster up some free time, so don't hesitate to ask. I think this is specially important since it's a great way to give something back to this industry I love while being able to do a bit of work with more creative freedom. I don't print out images for TF work but will courier Hi ress TIFF & WEB corrected Hi Res JPG on DVD. All images will have a small water mark at the bottom of image and I expect them to be used as is.
I work predominantly in Sri Lanka, India, Maldives & London. Travelling is never an issue and I do quite a bit of it
I'm also the official Photographic partner for Colombo Fashion Week.
