Joe Scarnici caught the photo bug as a kid and would reload disposable film 
cameras before he finally got his hands on his first Canon and he’s never looked back since.

At 20, with a gallery show already under his belt, he moved from Hadley, Mass, once known as the Asparagus Capital of the World, due West to California.  An avid backpacker, he trekked the coast from San Diego to Oregon before settling into Orange County where he traded his pack for a surf board and started shooting action sports.

Fast forward, Joe specializes in shooting people with an emphasis on sports and active lifestyle and working on ambitious and fast paced productions worldwide. He enjoys the challenge of capturing both the real and playful moments of his subjects. His passion drives him to shoot the solo, self taxing sports like surfing, running, tennis, backpacking and biking but he remains open to new adventures with new sports heroes and personalities.

Joe's client list boasts campaigns for Pepsi, Prince Sports, AT&T and Lipton Iced Tea and in between assignments Joe is a contributor to The Surfers Journal.

"I love working on the big productions," remarks Joe, "but no matter how big or small (the shoot is) I still get the same photography rush".
