Fit Model Images

What do all Sports illustrated swimsuit models have in common?   They are all exceedingly fit and toned.  They all maintain and follow rigorous, well designed workout programs.  Fit models simply look and photography far differently from those who do not work out.  They have far superior posture, are toned and their work outs produce more photogenic bodies.  They typically have developed a quiet confidence that reflects that they know they look terrific. They can attain stronger images from different lighting which brings out their toned look.

Any model should be presented as flatteringly as possible in images. This means lighting.  After all the word "photography" is derived from the Greek for painting with light.  Fit models can benefit from non-conventional lighting that emphasizes their toned bodies.  Other than head shots, fitness models should not be lit the same as other models.

This is true even if wearing slacks and long sleeves. Fit models have superior posture, can move, and thus pose (yes, I know it is still photography, but the fit also look better frozen in an instant in time) very well in standard poses.  They also can attain and hold poses that others simply can not.
