Hello!
I am a Photographer born, raised and based in Boston, Massachusetts.
I've been doing photography since January of 2008, for the most part, since I've joined this site. It's true, I am almost completely self-taught, I got one tidbit of tutoring... ("Alot of light...aperture 6.5" - Mykal Erik) I don't know how to effectively use a camera and I have virtually no technical knowledge of photography...I'm not even quite sure what "steps" are.
My gear? I have a Nikon D70 that is broken (yes, the lens is currenly super-glued into my camera, as it was recently broken), my lighting set up is a Calumet Genesis 200 and whatever else will do the job, including but not limited to a home depot worklight!
KP is an idea...a concept...a construct of subliminal messages, emotive interactions and thought provoking imagery...the sexy, beautiful, perverse, vivid and intense...
It's not and never was about money. It is and always will be about bringing to the surface the things we desire and translating them into stories. A collaboration of model and photographer perfoming a narration of occurrence pulled together from the imagery, sights and sounds that provoke the emotions of love, lust, longing, desire and satisfaction.
I create vivid imagery with passionate people with creative souls.
WHY I PUT THE NAME OF THE MODEL ON THE PHOTOGRAPH:
A model is a living canvas and a photographer is a living paintbrush, and with skill and passion you can create beautiful and captivating works of art. I put the name of the model on the photo because they deserve it. Although I often do the styling, wardrobe and overall conceptualization of the photo, the real stars are the models. Working with KP is not for the tame nor the timid. It can be dangerous and daunting at times and the models I have worked have allowed themselves to be put in a variety of scenarios so that we can create this vision, and for that I am grateful.
I put the name of the model on the photo because they are the ones who turn the visions into reality and without them, there is no photo, no artistic vision realized. Their bravery, skill and passion makes them the star of the show!
Aiight? Aiight! That said...
VERY LIMITED TF*
As you can probably tell (and have seen) from this port, my other ports and my website that I have more than enough work. At this stage I have shot more than 100 models in 1 1/2 years I have been doing photography so the material I have created is more than enough. However there are individuals I would love to work with and graciously extend this offer to them:
Why I want to do TF* with you:
You are a dynamic and open-minded model. You have learned how to look good on your own and need very little instruction. You're professional, daring and fearless! You make photography a great thing, you make photographers cry at your skill level! I WANT YOU!!!
TIPS FOR MODELS
OK, so your brother, sister, friend, cousin, the guy down the street, gas attendant, co-worker and bartender says you should be a model. Ok, so you gotta ask yourself a question; Do I want to be a model? As irrelevant as it seems, it's a valid question. There are models, in every genre, who have been around for years despite the unnaturally ridiculous volume of attractive females/males who have entered the industry to allegedly take their place. What do they have that you don't? Give that some thought before you start.
1) Study and master your Poses: Practice in the mirror. Yes, you will look funny, yes you might even be embarrsed but in the end you will have a leg up on the competition. People are looking at your photo to see something. You must give them something to look at. In human interaction, body language says alot, learn to say something with yours.
2) Practice facial expressions: A blank face ain't attractive, Think about it, think about a blank face starring back at you and how that would feel...ok, I think I made my point. Smiles and such also communicate something to the viewer. the models who are often the most successful have something to say that they can relate to the viewer.
3) Educate yourself: You say you want to be a Fashion model, read Vogue. You want to be a Porn Star, watch Porn. There is so much you can learn by example by watching what other people do and studying them. Being able to emulate them and then adding your own personal touches can make you not only knowledgeable about where you really want to go, but you could help you gain knowledge about how you're gonna help yourself get there!

HOW I WORK:
The way I work is very much a collaboration between myself and the model. As we work per set, I will show you your photos during and after as the shoot progresses to give the model an idea of how they are doing. Models appreciate this because the more they are aware of what they are doing during the shoot, the more comfortable they become when they know how to put their best foot forward during the shoot.
END RESULT:
At the end of the shoot, all photo proofs will uploaded online to be viewed 1-2 days after the shoot. Of these photos I will edit 2 photos per shoot/scene or a maximum of 6 photos whichever is less for your portfolio. I do not use these photos for commercial use unless other stated so there is no release form to sign. However, Knight Photographic does hold the copyright of all images, so these photos are not to be used in any way for any reason towards commercial purposes without explicit written consent.
WHY I WILL NOT GIVE OUT RAW PHOTOS:
Back in the day of TFP, it meant that you do a shoot, pick out the photos you like and then get prints, you never got a whole roll of negatives. Even though things might be simpler w/ digital, the same thing still stands.
I used to give out photos like water from the Atlantic Ocean, plentiful. I was very, very generous. However, it's come to my attention that some people have been using the photos to make themselves a dollar or two. Now, I don't have a problem w/ that, everyone deserves to make a dollar these days, especially these days, but you gotta spread the wealth! Putting my photos on club flyers, personal pay-sites, website contests and, you know, stuff like that doesn't benefit me...at all. I will only give out complete unedited photos when you pay my rate for your shoot or I just happen to like you ALOT! Otherwise, you will get 2 edits per shoot or a maximum of 6 photos whichever is less within a week when we finish. Unless the club/magazine/website is paying me for the use of my photos they gets no photo!

I do not do:
-Stereotypical Booty shots
-Typical Bikini type-ish
-Gore/goth/death
ESCORTS
You are allowed to bring an escort along for the shoot. Safety comes first as long as your escort can allow us to work and not be a distraction to the model or at least be able to hold up a reflector correctly!
