Dens Rule is a nationally acclaimed award winning photographer who for more than 35 years has had a passion for photography. He started his professional career as an underwater technical photographer in 1980 and now operates a successful commercial studio in Ottawa Ontario. Specializing in portraits, fashion, dance and advertising Denis has mastered the manipulation of light in photography as an artist has mastered the use of brushes on canvas. His creative ability to chisel shapes and forms, highlight the desirable and downplay the mediocre with the use of both natural and artificial light has earned him a place with other top professionals in this field.
For the past 6 years Denis has divided his time between photographic assignments and conducting workshops on lighting for amateur and professional photographers alike across Canada and the United States.
