Regardless of the subject matter, whether someone particularly wants to view male nudes, my view of my own photography is nothing more complicated than: ‘Does it tell YOU a story?’
As a viewer, how will you read your own story into the picture you’re viewing. I don’t really feel the urge to over explain my work, I think the photographs should tell their own story, each person who views a particular piece of work will build their own story for that picture: why is the model aroused, why is he there? What is the back story to that captured moment..?
The great thing with art is that twenty different people viewing it will create twenty different stories and reasons that mean something to them...
