***I have been recovering from a lifethreatening illness in 2010 and lifelong chronic health issues which continue to limit my time for shooting. I am finally back on my feet but I am still limiting my shooting to an absolute minimum.  However, I am still always interested in new ideas, contacts, models and makeup artists, so please do not hesitate to contact me!  Just be willing to be patient as I can only book a limited number of shoots, and paid work will always beat out portfolio development.

I am a professional photographer based out of Edmonton, previously associated with the PPOC and trained at NAIT, with well over a decade of experience.  I also work in Vancouver, Victoria, and Toronto throughout the year depending on my schedule.  My background is in editing, and I still take on occasional specialty editing projects.  I am currently booking limited sessions, in studio or on location.  For copyright protection reasons, I keep very little of my current portfolio online, so please feel free to contact me directly to see a more recent collection of my work (or to see images more closely related to the type of project you are interested in pursuing).  I am always available at froghaven@gmail.com

I do little TFP work at this stage in my career, and of necessity restrict the amount of images for trade.  Generally I use TFP as a way to vet people for paid work or referrals, as I never shoot paid work with someone I haven't worked with TFP.

For Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists: I generally require 1-3 TFP test sessions to establish your range and specialties, after which I will book semi-regular paid work and send paid referrals, depending on your abilities, interests, and availability.  I am ALWAYS looking for great makeup artists, especially airbrush specialists and anyone with a background in fantasy or special effects.  Hair stylists willing to work with props (flowers, beads, wire, etc) are preferred.  Print amounts for TFP vary depending on the type of shoot, but the normal ratio is 3 images of your choice for a 2hr shoot with typical makeup or hair (20-40min work).  This number goes up depending on special circumstances, such as special products or more involved work.

For Stylists and Designers: I am not doing much fashion or commercial work these days but always welcome exposure to the new and fantastic.  For the right person, I'm more than willing to develop commercial portfolio material on a TFP or at-cost basis.  Anyone who designs boudoir-style outfits (lingerie especially, but also corsets, fetish wear, etc) I am VERY eager to find someone to recommend to my clients: ideally, I would like to establish a relationship with a number of designers to get great outfits for my clients at a slightly reduced costs, or access to sample sales, rentals, etc.  I am also actively seeking Jewellry and Accessory Designers, ideally to trade item rentals for commercial images.

For MODELS: I am always happy to hear from new models, but rarely do TFP work.  If you are not right for my current projects or don't have a look that I feel will benefit my portfolio, I will generally refer you to another local photographer who is better suited to your particular style.  I do have a model portfolio development package at a dramatically reduced price, as well, which anyone is welcome to purchase (please contact me for details).

TFP - I generally will do a short (30minute) test shoot with a new model, in exchange for 1 fully edited image of the model's choice.  If we work well together, we will then discuss future TFP or paid assignments.  For certain models, I will do a 2 hour test shoot with makeup, clothing, (and occassionally hair) provided with 3 edited images or 5 for nudes/implied nudes or with special circumstances.  Proofs are received within 24hrs of the shoot and images within 4 weeks, under normal conditions.

I am currently CASTING for portfolio peices to showcase my new, softer style.  Most of my current portfolio is sorely out of date.  Female models: prefer HWP (tho I will work with amazing plus size models), good skin and willingness to do nude/implied nude a plus, unique look and obvious charisma are definitely to your advantage!  I have no experience or height preferences, and love working with everything from petite beginners to 6ft supermodels: personality is the big selling point for me.  Male models: I work with very, very few men, however I will consider if not too heavily muscled, HWP, and charismatic.  Let me know what makes you special!
