I am curious to know if I have what it takes to make a living as a model. I'm not expecting super model status, just a little something for me - a forty year old mother of 3 small lovely kids!
Currently, I have representation with an LA agency, and she seems to think I have what it takes to make a living in this industry! I am interested in gaining experience in front of the camera, as well as with photographers, Stylist, MUA's and other artistic individuals. Confidence breeds success!! And practice makes confident (never perfect)!
I was bitten by the modeling bug at the tender age of 13. I was asked to audition for a national TV commercial, from a talent scout that found me in an LA roller rink on my birthday! Now TV cameras back in the late 70's were HUGE and I was very naive to the ways of the industry. Therefore, I bombed! But I rebounded just fine - thank you!
Now, at the age of 40 - and a life with a family that includes 3 kids - I now have the opportunity and the frame of mind to pursue my dreams once again! Not to mention the wisdom and courage of age to say "Why not?" I do believe age has helped me see things with a new perspective - and I rather like it! Free to be me!
I am interested in working more mainstream projects that will help further my professional goals. I am interested in Editorial/Print/Fashion, catalog, and Glamour. That doesn't mean I am not open to creative ideas.
Thank you for reading a little bit about me. It's always hard to put yourself in a little box, but I tried. I hate to be boxed in!
Comments and advice are always appreciated! Mind you... I have learned to filter... Remember... I have 3 small children... Filters keep me sane with my lifestyle!
