A little history - Around the universe
Originally born in Germany but being a world citizen, my work has made me travel a lot. The inside in the Asien, US-american and European market and a good eye make my work stand out from the crowd. I have been featured in Fashion TV clips and several exhibits. I'm also the creator of two charity photo books and am currently building a non profit organisation with other artists. I'm living in the greater Los Angeles are.
I want to say "thank you" to my wonderful wife for supporting me and believing in me. With that in mind, any inappropriate comment or tag will be deleted.
And another thing about comments - If you feel like every comments needs to be returned, don't comment here. I occasionally comment back if your work strikes a particular chord in me, but most the times I'm simply too busy to respond. I do appreciate and value all your support though.
Job philosophy - To pay or not to pay - Quality has its price
I am ONLY available for paid assignments - You can make me the most wonderful compliments but please don't be mad if it doesn't work. While I enjoy my work very much and I feel blessed to be in this INDUSTRY, this is a BUSINESS. I know what I'm worth and I'm undercharging so just appreciate that

If you are serious about pictures and you know a thing or two about the industry you won't even consider NOT paying a photographer for his talent if you need new headshots and such!
TfP ONLY for tearsheets or really (!) established models and actors. Nothing personal and no hard feelings. And I mean REALLY established models and actors with actual CREDITS and EXPERIENCE. Meaning: You've worked hard to be where you are! No wannabes!!! Bookings upon referral get you a discount for your next shoot.
Also I must say I'm a little picky about my jobs: Sell yourself short and I won't work with you. Be complicated and I won't work with you. NO attitude, NO drama, NO spoiled little divas!!! There's enough bs in this town and I'm dedicated to avoiding it! That eliminates 70% of jobs you say? Well so be it! My self esteem is more important than money!
And dear retouchers: Your services are not needed.
Studio or Location?
I personally love to work on location with natural light and a reflector or two. It gives most of my photos the look that they have. From my experience it is way easier for models to get real feelings into the picture while interacting with reality.
There are however situations where a studio session might be needed. For those who want to shoot in a studio I charge 35$ per hour on top of my rate just to cover costs.
Artists statement...I guess...
I always try to really capture the being of a person. Because the one and only thing that makes everyone stand out is uniqueness! We have to learn to believe in the individual again and regain faith in our essence - back to the basics, back to our instincts! The magic of our being lies behind our eyes which means the better the focus on the eyes the more intimate the picture...
Working with a team is fun and all, but it's not always needed for what I do. A lot of the pictures you see on my page are done without MUAs or wardrobe assistants...Just pure people. You don't need an assistant to get dressed in the morning, do you? Some might not believe it, but it works!
After all, I'm really easy to work with and I'm a lot of fun on set. I expect the people I work with to have a similar attitude.

And yes, I can shoot your "plain" agent headshot as well and I'm very experienced with it... I just don't showcase that kind of work here because it's not my main focus. But trust me, if someone shoots what I shoot, they can take headshots. Yes, natural looking, agency approved and tested headshots... It's really not that hard...
Oh yea, NO NUDITY here. I don't condemn it, but it's not my thing! It's just too easy...
