My name is
Steve Dow. I do business under the name of
Liquid Light and
Aladdin's Lamp. I have been a freelance commercial and nature photographer for
several years and have now moved into portraiture, glamour, and digital art. My
clients are models, photographers, and other digital artists. I can work
independently or as part of a team. I am always willing to collaborate and share
ideas, expertise, and knowledge to further the goals of my clients. I will discuss
any idea and create and/or synthesize any image as long as it's legal and will also
do certain types of tasteful, artistic nudity. I will work in my Hopkinton studio
and/or on location depending on the shoot and the needs of my clients.
My Lists
A word about my lists. I've made it a point to seek out the finest artists and
works of art on MM. I have not been disappointed. The talent I have discovered is
immense.
Exceptional Images contains those works that have elicited strong emotion
in me. Most are truly beautiful. Many are from some of the finest artists in
North America and the world. Some were created by talented beginners. Take a
moment and view what I've found. Explore the sites of the authors. You will be
glad that you did.
Inspiration contains many of the images from 'Exceptional Images' plus a
large number of others. Each one teaches me something: a technique; a subject; a
trick of lighting, texture or tone; or is unusual in some way. All are remarkable
and unique. In short, they are inspirational in some manner or form. Investigate.
You will not be disappointed.
All the rest are pretty much self-explanatory.

Time for Content
Due to demand and the time and effort required for what I create I've had to cut
back considerably on the amount of TF work I do. If you cannot afford my
published fees, talk to me anyway, and if my workload permits, I may be able to
work something out with you.
Studio
I will conduct a photo shoot at my Hopkinton, Massachusetts studio that may be
from one to four or more hours long. Depending on the duration of the shoot you
may select from one to four photographs that I will use to create completely new
and unique works of art. I will produce renditions from each photograph selected
providing you with up to four new and unique pieces. You are under no obligation
to purchase any images.
My fees are quite reasonable and vary according to the duration of the studio
session and the number of images requested. I charge a basic fee for the studio
shoot and a diminishing fee for each image purchased. Fifty percent of the studio
fee (up to $100) is credited toward the purchase of images. Studio fees start at
$100.
Portfolio Enhancement
You may submit to me any images from any source. I will create for you totally
new and unique works of art from these images. You must, however, be able to
obtain permission in writing from the copyright holders to use their images as a
basis for my work.
For this type of work fees are on a per image basis and vary according to the
desired results and the condition and characteristics of the original photographs
or images.
Current Commitments
These are clients I have committed to work with. The sequence of the list
indicates the order in which I will be able to begin the project. The list will
be updated as projects complete and new commitments are made. If you are
indisposed when your name reaches the top of the queue, I will keep you there
until it is convenient for you to work with me. You will not lose your place.
