I am always looking for people to shoot with for my own projects as well as for school. I have different school assignments weekly that require the use of a model in many cases. I also try to keep an on-going casting call for this purpose.
I retired from the US Air Force after 26 years as a aircraft mechanic/supervisor. I got interested in photography in high school. But, the military had other plans for me. So, I put my camera down and focused on my military career. I picked my camera back up after 26 yrs. Photography is truly my passion or obsession (the jury is still out on that).
I appreciate and enjoy the creative efforts of photographers, models, makeup, hairstylists and wardrobe persons. I wish to use this site to meet fellow photographers, models and MUA's, etc.; to learn from their images and creativity; gain experience and improve my own abilities as a photographer.
Never forget how far we have come or where the journey started. There is always someone better than ourselves weather we choose to believe it or not. This outlook will ensure I remain modest and encouraging in my opinions and comments. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. Seeing it is the first and easiest step...humans are visual (men more so than women). Expressing and giving compliments concerning beauty is a little more difficult. But, the hardest of all is learning how to create, capture and preserve that beauty forever!
Currently my photography is all that I do. My schedule isn't as flexible as it has been in the past with a full-time school schedule. However, I am going to school for photography as mentioned before. I shoot family, children, maturnity, etc. as paid assignments (but, my rates are lower than anyone in my area). However, when it comes to working with models or aspiring models, I am still interested in shooting TFP/CD. If at some point, I am receiving monetary compensation for our work together, I will be glad to share the wealth and make it a paid shoot
Both parties have expenses and both are working their best... I can respect the fact that if you are an accomplished model and I desire to work with you, then, I should also expect to pay for your services and experience. This should be evident by the images in your portfolio.
I read a lot of what people put in their pages. I constantly find interesting info, phrases and claims. Think before your type. Your digital portfolio is your visual resume. Your profile page is your cover letter. As such, what we read on one, should match and support what we see in the other.

Feel free to contact anyone that I have worked with on Modelmayhem and Facebook as a reference. There is noting to hide here. I don't have issue if you bring someone along to your shoot for your comfort and safety. You being comfortable at the shoot is the best way for us to get the best results that both our experience levels will allow. I prefer to do a consult by phone at the very least prior to shooting. If you are in the area and prefer a face-to-face consult, that is possible as well. We can set something up at public place like a Starbucks or something and feel free to bring someone along if you like. The consult is important to set the expectations for both parties. There will be no surprises at the shoot.
