Annette was born in Habana, Cuba and moved with her family at the tender age of six, to escape the tyranny of Castro. Her family relocated to Perth Amboy, New Jersey where they lived with her maternal grandparents until she was 19.
Her love for photography began as a small child in Habana where it was passed down from her maternal grandfather who was an avid photographer himself. Her grandfather would supply her with all the film she could use to encourage her to take all the photos her heart desired. He also gave her solid and loving advice on the best methods to shoot a picture and Annette eagerly absorbed his knowledge like a sponge.
Annette has the unique and innate ability to make her subjects feel very comfortable which enables her clients to project a natural self. Her knowledge of lighting and angles comes not only from the lessons of her grandfather, but in the lessons she learned as a technician and director/producer for several television news stations.
