**IMPORTANT: We will only shoot with you if you sign a standard model release. This is for your protection in so many ways, and it is law in NY that a photographer must get a release. You have to ask yourself about the motives of any photographer who doesn't require a model release. Please read our policy below carefully, and please do not correspond with us if you're on the fence about model releases. If you're shooting with someone who doesn't require a release, they're either an amateur, or, surprise, you're on a date!
STATEMENT: You don't have to think we might be the answer to your portfolio prayers. We're not really in that business. But we think you'll find our pictures are different from a lot of the products out there. The general consensus seems to be that we're extremely careful in the post production/retouching process. This means you might begin to work with us, spend more than a few hours, and from that experience you may get only one or two pictures. However, imagine this limited output will lend itself to certain qualities which, we expect, you might look back on, some time way off in the future, and say to yourself, wow, that was a rare experience. And it all comes back to this moment here on some website on the Internet. You don't have to find our pictures beautiful. We're not particularly aiming at convention here. What we hope is, from our collaboration you get complexity, something artful, something which will inspire you, even outside the realm of modeling. We intend to look to you to act as a collaborator, and you might find yourself working harder than ever. We want you to notice how we'll challenge you to achieve something extraordinary within the context of your creative life. Certainly, this is a tall order for all of us, so get in touch when you feel you're ready!
POLICY: We shoot mostly in a studio environment. Our process is expensive and very time-consuming, so, we'll be requiring you to sign a standard model release, no exceptions, so that we may have fair rights to the images into the future. MISSION: If you're not a typical fashion model, don't worry. Our primary reason for joining this site is to meet atypical models for interesting art projects. Our backgrounds are heavy on fashion/editorial, but art and passion are more important to us than common beauty. We only ask that you act in accordance with common professional courtesy.
