When I was 6, my left eye was severely injured by a small canary that had flown into our double-wide trailer while trying to escape a deranged cat in the backyard.  I was forced to wear a patch for several years, which caused much taunting from fellow children, but allowed for an easy Halloween choice each October....... that being Ronald McDonald.  After 3 years the patch came off and I realized that being forced to used just one eye for so long had, in fact, turned it into an "amazing eye."

Once I got to high school people would stop me, out of the blue mind you, and say: "Wow, you really have an amazing eye.... you should really be a photographer!"  Sheepish at first by these vigorous pronouncements, I finally relented after years of strangers and relatives just looking at my amazing eye and telling me to be a photographer, and picked up a disposable camera to take a picture of a glass of milk..... which subsequently won the Pulitzer & Nobel prizes simultaneously.  Noting the coup of this singular act, I decided I should listen to those people and become a photographer.
