Hello there! My name is Kate. I'm a collector of objects and interests. One week I'll turn to my significant other (he's a doll to put up with me) and say "I want an umbrella stand" then a vicious eye roll and a few trips to the thrift store later I'm stashing umbrellas wherever I can find space for them. My passing fancies have left me with collections ranging from 80's prom dresses, vintage nightgowns and antique cameras, to my most recent obsessions of hand crocheted afghans, retro sheets sets, cross stitches, and well, the aforementioned umbrellas. One interest that has never waned is that of photography. I find satisfaction in creating photographs with elements of timeless beauty, and put a piece of myself in every collaborative effort I am a part of. I'm a laid back and silly, but also super committed to creating images I feel are incredibly special. If that all sounds like something you can get behind read further about my expectations of the models I work with so that we can all be on the same page before the fun begins.
**Trade Work**
Select trade. Not because I have superiority complexes, but just because I am generally ultra busy. I shoot weddings, I work odd jobs. I'm a crazy ball of energy bursting in a city near you. This being the case I will generally reach out to models I'm interested in trade work with, but will certainly consider models who get in touch with me. We're all her for teh networking after all. Read further to make sure you feel we'd be well suited to work together, because you might wind up thinking I'm a total monster.
In term of what I expect from you as a model: I'm looking for models who can not only pose their asses off, but laid back imaginative ladies with a sense of adventure. Models who think modeling is about standing around looking pretty need not apply. Pretty is boring. I want dynamic.
Trade models are asked to meet at my house in southern ocean county, hair and make up ready, with plenty of available time on the agreed upon day of the shoot. I do not work with a team so it is important for you to look photo ready. This is a collaborative effort between photographer and model. We'll chat a little bit ahead of time about what might be good hair and make up options. Discuss what clothes you might want to bring, and then have a laid back shooting experience. I prefer to keep the process simple.
Also, please be on time. I know no money is exchanging hands in these particular situations, but this is my job, and I expect it to be treated with respect. I appreciate your consideration.
When contacting me please provide a few dates you are available (very important!), you measurements, and any information concerning whether you intend to bring an escort or not. I do allow escorts in some situations, however, to be perfectly honest, even the most laid back uninvasive tag along is distracting, so it is not an ideal situation for me. I do want models working with me to feel 100% comfortable however.
Models collaborating on trade work can expect to receive 3-6 edited images from a day of shooting with me. They will be JPEG images emailed to you, and you may use them for portfolio use. No RAW or unedited files will ever be released for trade work.
Paid work is always accepted, and much more flexible, as I'm a big fan of paying my bills. I can arrange team members ranging from hair stylists to make up artists for paid work. I also am open to travel for paid assignments. The number of edited images you receive will depend on your specific needs. RAW and unedited files may be purchased. Basically you can have whatever you want from me (within professional reason) for a fee
Lastly- to you flakes out there: you make me a sad panda!! Hate to be harsh, but photographers talk, and we're talking about you. Flake on just one or two of us, and you'll get a reputation. Like a baaaad hussy.
