I shoot a bit of everything, sports, landscapes, travel etc, but my passion is portrait photography. My day job is as a scientist at one of the local San Diego Pharama companies. I shoot because I love to. I'm looking for models in or visiting the Southern California area to work with. I am currently working to build a larger portrait portfolio, so I will shoot TFCD/P. 

As for styles, I am open to pretty much anything (with in reason). Two things that really attract me are lighting and eyes (you'll probably notice that as you check out my portfolio).  I am trying to expand my portfolio with different looks and ideas. I would like to add something a bit darker to the portfolio, so far it's pretty tame.

The most important thing for me is communication. I usually like to talk to who ever I am shooting with to find out what they are looking for in a shoot. Then we usually bat a few ideas around. Once the ideas are in place, then we agree on a time and location(s). I'll give a call the day before to confirm the shoot. I'll want a model release in case I want to use the images in the future. I will also need contact information to work out ideas for the shoot and a place to send the CD after the shoot.

What I provide:

1) I will go through the photos and pick a manageable number of photos to do some rough edits to (ie basic color correction, cropping, conversion to black and white, etc).

2) I'll pick two photos to edit immediately, and post/email them fairly rapidly.

3) I'll give you access to a private site with all of the images (usually 75+ images). Then you can pick ~6 that you like and I will spend more time editing. This may take a few weeks, but you are more than welcome to grab some of the images to post on this site or any other.

4) Once the images are edited I'll post them for everyone to see.

5) I'll give you a cd with all of the images - the ~6 edited and all of the others from the private site.

6) If you want interested in prints, we can agree on a number of prints before the shoot.

7) If you are up to the task and your photoshop skills are strong I can either give you the raw files or a jpg dump of the session. All I ask is you shoot me some high-res edited photos so I can either print them or post them.
