Victor Jones

I am a 25 year old fun loving free-sprit who loves to meet new people and see new places.   I was born in California but have spent most of my life in the great state of Texas.  I am very busy trying to get my career on the right track and working my day job to get the bills paid. However, on my down time I enjoy bowling and going to the movies.  I was interested in modeling as early as High School.  However, Modeling as a career was never received well by my parents. They labeled me a dreamer and thought it was a phase I would get past.   As the years passed, I became involved with daily life and put my dream on the backburner.  As fate would have it, I was in the parking lot of The Home Depot and a gentleman approached me as I was loading a truck with supplies for a construction job I was working at the time.  His name was Samuel Bowie, he had his own modeling agency. He asked me if I had ever thought of modeling.  I smiled and said yes, modeling was something I always knew I would pursue again, and truth be told, who doesn’t want to hear “have you ever thought of being a model?”   He gave me his business card and within the next week we had signed a contract and we began to work on my portfolio.  I went on several photo shoots and we were already planning to get my passport for future travel.  Samuel Bowie taught me many things about the business.  He told me I was very promising, he invested in me, supported me and encouraged me, he sparked my interest in modeling once again and for that I will forever be grateful.  I knew him a very short time but he had a huge impact on my life. Unfortunately, Samuel Bowie suffered a very tragic death.  He was brutally murdered in his home in October of 2007 and his murder is still being investigated today.  All of his belongings, including his camera and computer, are being held by the police, pending the investigation.  I felt my dreams were gone with him.  I knew no one else in the industry and I had no contacts for me to move forward with out him.  I decided to give up modeling again.  But with the help of a very close friend, I was able to accept Sam’s untimely death and try to make it into modeling on my own.  Samuel is always in my thoughts and I work harder because I know he believed in me. So, here I am, several months later. I have been to many, many casting calls and have developed my own little network.  I now have some experience under my belt, mostly Runway Modeling for local designers in the Texas region.  I have not done any print work to date but I am very interested in exploring that option.  My biggest accomplishment to date is making it onto the Ed Hardy Fashion Show in May.  It was a great experience that has made me more eager to learn and succeed.To sum it all up, my ultimate goal is to become a high fashion model and eventually a household name.  I am interested in runway, print, TV and film.  I want to say I have done it all.  I want to travel around the world and be recognized on instant.   My intention is to utilize my exposure and influence to promote awareness on a number of problems affecting our urban youth and our community.  I understand that nothing in life comes easy and I am prepared to work hard and give this my all.   All I ask for is an opportunity to let me shine and inspire you.
