I’ve been taking photographs for a while now, but it has been over the past year and a half that I have really tried to make my way into the world of professional photography. Since then I have dramatically expanded my portfolio with a variety of shoots from clothing and fashion shoots to fetish shoots, and gig / event photography, even squeezing in an elaborate Gothic wedding.
I am always looking to expand my portfolio in every direction and will happily accept TF* work provided that travel expenses are covered. I am working on putting together a home studio for future shoots, and am aiming to begin work on a big project in the Autumn of 2009 that will become the basis of a coffee table book and hopefully an exhibition. In addition to this I am looking to do some calendar style shoots, stock photography and shoots to create a range of limited prints.
My personal preference is for location rather than studio shoots, and I have somewhat of a fetish for monochrome and stark lighting in the style of early 20th century film and photography… think Mick Rock and Antony Corbjin. I’m very much also into Victorian spirit photography and the work of people such as Erlend Mørk, Stephen Kasner, Jeffery Scott, Joachim Luetke, Nena Blue, Gottfried Helnwein, Chad Michael Ward, Matt Lombard, John Coulthart, Waken the Dead, Owain Richards, and of course Salvador Dali.
For hire work such as model portfolio’s or bands, I prefer to shoot as simply and stylishly as possible to create a good base for later manipulation
Imago Mortis Photography is available for: Clothing Catalogues, Alternative Modelling Portfolios / Websites (Concept Shoots, Headshots, Hair shots, Make-up Shots, Glamour, Soft-core Adult, Fetish), Bands (Live, Location & Studio Press Promos), Living History - Late 19th / Early 20th Century (Event, Posed & Short Promotional Films), Club Nights, DJ Promos.
Looking for models for the following shoot ideas:
1) Art Nude/Gore:
“Eat Your Heart Out” Pre-Raphaelite/Gothic depiction of Eve/Lillith, topless with a sheer scarf around the waist to protect modesty. Red glitter makeup, blood around lips and on chest, posing with a glitter covered heart.
2) Various Stock Photos:
Alternative Fashion - lots of piercing, PVC, stripes, tattoos, Anime / Goth / Punk / Cyberpunk / Sci-Fi / Metal etc.
High Fashion - evening wear, hats, fur coats etc.
Fetish - Uniforms, Cling Film Dresses, Latex, Bondage & Domination themes etc.
Vintage & Fantasy - Victorian portraiture, 1920’s-50’s cheesecake/pin-up, risqué shots, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s fashion etc.
Also 16th century Witchfinder General, Hammer Horror inspired, Arthurian legends shoots.
Headshots - Simple head, hair, make up, macro shots.
3) Femme Fatale Calendar:
1920’s-30’s Film noir meets pin-up inspired lingerie calendar with guns, razors, knives and blood (think Joan Bennet having seduced a private detective and then cut his throat).
4) Spirit Photography:
To be used as the basis for a book (where images will be accompanied by a piece of flash fiction or poetry), and for exhibition. See this site for a little about the type of images I want to replicate -
http://www.prairieghosts.com/ph_history.html
5) Experimental Stereo & Triple Lens photos:
I’ve recently become intrigued by Stereoscopic photos and other types of 3D photography and I’m trying to get my hands on a couple of cameras to try to get some interesting print effects - I may also use the camera(s) as part of different shoots already mentioned to add an extra dimension to the images captured.
Most of the shoots will have to be TFCD + Travel as I'm going to shell out whatever I have in my budget on equipment and my own travel for the next few months - However anyone who models for me will be able to use me as a reference for their CV’s
