Hi and welcome to my portfolio,
My name is Rashel and I am dress designer and model who has been doing fashion designing for over 5 years. My fashion designs are created from a fusion of traditional looks with "out-of-the-box" eclectic international trends, whether from Africa (my background), the Orient, through to the English invasion (retro-60's) look. In addition, I love colours, colours and more colours.
It’s been great to build my portfolio with models and photographers I have met on MM. From this exposure, I have been fortunate to gain recognition to now work directly with Elite Models and, I have also collaborated with models from other agencies such as Giovanni, ICON, Sutherland and Ford. I want to continue to work with MM models who meet agency standards (eg: height, 5’8”+ and measurements). Also, see “Expectations” below.

Expectations
1) "Strike a (good) Pose"
As mentioned above, please-please have some characteristic poses and facial expressions. "To model" is a verb involving movement, engagement expression -- not being a manequin !!
2) Commitment to Showing Up
If you agree to participate in our shoot, we expect you will be reliable and show up. If there are unforeseen events that arise, we ask for 48 hours notice that you have to cancel. This allows us sufficient time to find a replacement.
3) Photographers
Given where I'm at in my recognition as a designer, I will work with photographers with the understanding that we are equally collaborating to enhance our portfolios, and accordingly both have rights to the generated photos for such portfolio development purposes. Therefore, after a shoot, I want digital copies (jpg files) of the images for review, followed up by at least 2 chosen retouches and 1 print for display in my portfolio per look using my dresses. If generated photos later have some commercial benefit from either side, we agree to equally benefit from such commercial opportunity, with specifics to be later confirmed in writing.
4) Release Contracts
Release contracts or other requested signings will be reviewed by my manager, Ray.
