Wassup man. Let me say first tht you're off to a good start. Having the desire and passion and confidence to move forward is where it all begins.
My suggestion is that you hit the gym hard to get more defined. Lots of cardio and light weights with heavy reps woud work best.
Then I would say search in your area for some photogs who will shoot you free to build your port as well as there's and save your money. If you can save up enough to come to NY for a few days, I could help you hook up with some photographers to further build your book, including my dad who shot some of my book. This will really launch you.
Let me know what's good and stay on your grind my island brotha.
