A professional face & body painter with 8 years experience, published in magazines and face-painting books worldwide.

I love creating abstract, fantasy or Trompe L'oeil art on skin, especially with models who like to get into character and dress up! From fake fashion and stone statues to wild animals, several hours of painting can produce some really memorable shots which would be an asset for anyone's book. Please don't judge the pics I have up, but the artwork; most are me snapping as I work and not pro shots which is why I'm looking for photographers too! I also compete around the world and need practice bodies or models for the actual events.

And of course for paid bookings I do like to book models/ photographers I have worked with and know! My own rates are reasonable and may be negotiable if your booking is extra-inspiring for me.

I only use professional face & body paints & cosmetic glitters, mainly Wolfe/ DFX, Grimas and Kryolan, all easily removed with soap & water. Generally I prefer models to wear at least briefs, though pasties/ bra tops are sometimes required for females too. It depends on the booking. I am generally very chatty - unless I get too engrossed in the painting - and have been told I create a relaxing atmosphere for slightly nervous 1st-time paintees!

I have an art degree, but I discovered face painting years after a Biology BSc when running the Education Department in a UK zoo. I found I loved combining science, art and teaching and set up my own business.

I also teach and demonstrate in face & body art and crafts like wing-making, at private lessons, schools, at events such as the Welsh Face & Body Festival & the UK Face & Body Convention and asstd places in NZ.
