Recently relocated to DC, from Austin, as of January 2013. Someone show me this place isn't uptight.
I am here to roughly document urges, ideas, ambiguity - I could care less about convention. A shot is a thought. Passing and not real, a picture is relegated to two dimensions and the imagination. I typically photograph as a visual reaction and I am not interested in the overly contrived.
I fancy co-conspirators, its that simple. I collaborate with muses who are confident, creative, emotive (with face and body), who want to push their limits. Show me your power, your weakness, your anger, your sex appeal, your love and your sadness. Fashion to me can be an element in the photo, but rarely the focus.
I will photograph our process. I will photograph you imperfectly and it will be beautiful.
At times I like to work in short and sweet tests - they often end up with the best/most interesting final images - please keep that in mind if I get in touch with you - it doesn't have to be a production to make interesting photos.
Yes, I am a professional photographer based in Austin, but for this work that doesn't matter.
Unless a third party is paying us both - and we love those shoots - I don't pay muses/models - that's a backwards concept. If you don't bug me about only doing paid shoots, then I won't bug you about only doing paid shoots. :-)
I will email you back. I try my best to return emails as quickly as possible, however please be patient if I don't respond right away; this juggling act gets away from me sometimes.
MM seems to be ripe with Maxim-style wanna-be girls - this is a huge turn off for me.
I'm not here to date you or fuck you, I'm all set.
