A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
I’m a makeup artist specializing in effects and character work, face and body painting,
Prosthetics, etc. I’ve been doing this work since 1984. My effects and character
training was under Oscar winning makeup legend Dick Smith.
I freelance as an artist, apart from a fulltime job. I’m here, not only to make my
services available to photographers and models, but to build my own portfolio of work.
When I hit that “friends request” button, I’m not just seeing how many people I can
“collect”. If I can have a chance to work with you, I will, and I want to. And I just don't want to lose the connection with you. The request
is, of course, the only way I have of making that connection. I’m here to work hard,
and have a great time doing it! Whenever possible, I like to sit down with the models I'm going to be working with and get to know them a little bit before we dive in to a project..coffee or Chai tea
I feel it makes the actual session a bit more comfortable.
Just about anything in the world of makeup interests me, and I do it all (with the exception of hair work, I’m learning, I’m just not there yet…unless you want a
beard or mustache..) from Glamour, Body Painting and Fantasy, to Prosthetics and
Dental appliances.
BODY PAINTING
I really enjoy the challenge of creating clothing on a model, whether it’s a superhero
costume or bathing suits and cutoff jeans. Anyone who’d love to have that type of look
for their portfolio, just tag or message me, and I’ll make it happen…have some ideas
of your own?, I love to collaborate!
When body paint work is done, I prefer that the model bring a friend with them. I don’t
like to be alone with a model that I’m painting, I believe it makes the model more comfortable to have someone else in the room, especially if it’s the first time we’ve worked
together, and it helps avoid any weird situations. I don’t ever want anything to come back
and “bite me in the butt”. I will not work with a model who’s “friend” is a jealous or
overprotective boyfriend or husband. I don’t want, or need the headache or drama that
could result because of it. I’m a serious professional, 100% trustworthy and have an
excellent reputation.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Depending on the type of look and amount of area being covered, it could
take up to 4 hours. I’m not just “slapping paint on”, I’m trying to create the
look of believable clothing, it does take some time to pull that off. Of course,
the more I do this, the quicker I’ll become. If we’re just doing something
like a bikini, then it should only be an hour or so.
DENTAL APPLIANCES
There are a lot of people that love Vampire fangs, and that’s something that
I do very well. I can create a full set (teeth and gums) that are custom fit to
your teeth. Really anything that you’d like: broken, corrective, zombie, braces,
etc. A full set runs 100.00 + tax. This requires a cast of your teeth and is done in
my studio. If you’re interested, just contact me and I’ll go over the details with you.
PROSTHETICS
Think “Buffy”or “Friday the 13th”, etc. I can create something really cool for your
port, if you’re up for something radically different from drop dead gorgeous.
This is a much bigger process than anything else I do, and if it’s a custom look,
(that is, if I don’t have a ready made piece available), it’s a time consuming and
fairly pricey job. But for those of you who want a really standout look, something
that you’re not likely to see in many ports, then contact me and we’ll make some
magic!
HAIR
As I mentioned earlier, I’m not a hair stylist, (although I am learning) you can
either just come with your hair the way you want it, or arrange to have your own
stylist prep you.
WHAT ELSE…
I will not work on anything pornographic, the female body is extremely beautiful and doesn't need any hard core posing to try and make it "better". In fact I think it destroys the beauty of it all when it happens.
