Hello! My name is Melissa, some people refer to me as "Precious" (see my photo below, that is ME! 
) I am a Long Island photographer & graphic design artist who started this business with the intentions of doing mostly theme based photography.

As you can see, I do elaborate graphic design work as well as simple digital retouching. I can create photos that are complex, colorful, and surreal OR naturally beautiful with a few finishing touches as needed.

ABOUT LGG:
Looking Glass Girls is a photography business that started to provide a place where girls can run wild with their imaginations and creativity and give them the freedom to be whoever they want to be. This is a theme-based site and I work one on one with my models to provide a fun atmosphere while giving them the opportunity to transform themselves into something they've always dreamed. Then in turn, having a beautiful product to show for it.
I like to keep my work as creative and unique as possible. The ideas are really limitless and it's alot of fun to do if you like to bring out the artistic side of your work. The styles can range from dark, to colorful, to emotional, to funny, etc. Really any aspect of theme art you can think of.
This is a professional photography business. I do TFP and TFCD work only if the theme idea is my own and I need a model to fill the spot. Otherwise, I charge for my shoots. My packages are very reasonable. The quantity of finished photos will depend on the overall cost. Please message me for package pricing.
A typical photoshoot includes the following:
~ Theme of choice
~ Full Day photoshoot
~ Makeup/ Hair styling provided
~ Some Props, Jewelry, & Accessories provided
~Some guiding with poses, if necessary.
*Every model is required to sign a model release at the time of the shoot.
* I do NOT give out ANY raw or unretouched images.
*[b]Hairstyling & Makeup is done by me and is optional. My style is usually very bold and colorful, but varies depending on the chosen theme. I use mostly
Urban Decay Cosmetics & other quality products.
I now also can refer you to
Sivana Salon in St. James that will do both hair & makeup professionally for a package rate through me when you mention that you are modeling for
Looking Glass Girls. Message me for more info.
You can also choose to do your own or have your own stylist create your look.
OTHER DETAILS:
~ I have my own studio equipment and work out of my home in Centereach, NY. Depending on the theme, I also work outdoors at any location that suits the style of the shoot.
~ I can provide some accessories and props for any theme chosen and also provide jewelry as well. The model MUST provide her costume/clothing and as much of her own accessories as possible.
~ I take a few hundred images per session and change it up depending on the length of the shoot, location, and model's preferences in poses, etc.
~ I can work with model's on their pose techniques and am willing to provide you with the best pose that will coordinate with their specific theme. I DO expect the models, whether professional or not, to do their best to pose themselves for their particular theme.
~ I do my best to capture and create the most unique and creative looks for my models and I am always open to hear their advise while working one on one with them along the way to achieve the perfect look and style that compliments their theme.
~ I do not believe in rushing a shoot. Therefore I do not charge by the hour for my photography. Any scheduled date for a shoot will be planned ahead so we have more than enough time for everything that is needed.
~ I am a very down to earth, laid back kind of person. Always willing to hear my models opinions and questions and give advice as much as possible so that there is no miscommunication and also so that everyone is happy with what they are doing. There is nothing worse than being intimidated by your photographer. I always do my best to make it a fun, comfortable atmosphere for each shoot.
