My name is Kristen (a lot of people in the area know me as Alfa), and I've been involved with makeup design for various stage and film productions since 2001, but I'm looking to broaden my horizons. I'm enthusiastic about any and all types of makeup design, and I'm happy to design and apply for any and all occasions.

I have much more experience than I have documented, but I didn't start trying to keep a portfolio until a couple of months ago. Recently, I have started working with liquid latex, and making my own liquid latex prosthetics.
I also have attended school for esthetics, and therefore have color theory knowledge, as well as proper sanitation habits.

I am a 2007-2008 Zoni nominee for best makeup design.
I am a 2008-2009 Zoni award winner for best makeup design.

I love to be part of a creative process, and I love the challenge of putting a new, outrageous idea into fruition.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for avant garde/high fashion makeup, and zombie/gore special effects.

I am doing mostly TFP/TFCD while trying to expand my portfolio, but on the more complicated shoots or ongoing projects i may ask for a minor kit fee, so that i may replenish my supplies. (though i may be willing to do a skills trade--i'll do makeup for your shoot if you model/photograph some makeup intensive head shots for my port)
however, that being said, any paid gigs get top priority.

I am NOT the type to flake out on a gig, you can rely on me to be there, and I expect the same respect from everyone else that I work with.
