I have been modeling professionally since I was 18, but I did take short hiatus my senior year of college. I'm trying to get back into it. My look has changed drastically, mostly my hair. It is long and brown; it used to be short and red. I am in the process of updating my portfolio, and I have managed to get a few recent pictures on here. I am modeling on the side for now, but if things take off, I am definitely willing to pursue it further.
My many looks:
Fall 2005/Feb 2009/Sept 2010
I am mostly experienced in runway, with semi-experience in print/photo shoots. I give preference to paid work, but do accept TF for really good concepts; I am looking to expand my portfolio. Have a good idea? Let's hear it.
**FYI, I am a broke college grad and my availability is limited, as the stupid economy has me working long hours, and my driven personality has kept me still taking college courses and performing extra-curriculars.
But I am always up for building relations and will make time for the right people.***
That said, I am not on here very much anymore as my job no longer has me in front of the computer and the time I do spend on one is usually spent looking for a better job. If I do not respond quickly or at all to something you have written me, please do not be offended. I consider my schedule and probable compatibility between us when communicating. If I don't think I have the time or the ability to give you what you want, I'm not going to waste your time.
Any shoot worth doing is worth doing well. That is my attitude towards modeling. Whether I am being paid or working TFP, I will put forth the same effort and do everything I can to create the best images possible. I will always bring high energy and passion for my work to every project.
Body modifications: Tattoo on lower back (yea, yea, I know...lame); small tattoo on inside of right wrist (this one is pretty sweet!); belly button ring; ears pierced.

I do not shoot nudes/glamour for three reasons. One is I have just graduated college and cannot risk prospective employers somehow finding something and disliking it. Two, it's BFEOâBoyfriend's Eyes Only. It's not a demand or a request by him; it's a gift I give him. And three, give many photographers an inch, and they take a mile. (I would be happy to supply the identities of such photographers if you would like to rip on them for ruining your chances of seeing my goodies. lol)
It is a personal choice, and I do not look down upon others who shoot that style, so long as it is actually good. But "no" means "no"; I will not reconsider, and every time you "doublecheck", you risk me discontinuing our correspondence, or worse, terminating a photoshoot.
I am considering asking a nun to be my perma-escort, but I'll be sure to ask if this is ok first.
**Let me assure that I do take each case individually and do not automatically assume every photographer is a pervert; trusting people is just very difficult anymore.
Now for some fun facts...
*I had surgery on my jaw in high school and now have the most wicked scar along my gum line, and have lost feeling in part of my chin.
*I still have the journal I kept during the recovery, which includes a list of food I wanted to eat once I could open my jaw again.
*I am bipolar and consider it a blessing. I get to feel happier than most and can appreciate it since I have felt sadder than most.
*Religion: I believe in karma and ghosts.
*I am ridiculously afraid of spiders because I watched too many Discovery Channel segments and the movie Arachnophobia. (Who's to say that little house spider over there isn't some alien African-hybrid, which my friends have dubbed the African White Devil Spider?)
*My only write-up at any of my jobs was for "striking" a girl. My manager later told me I should have flat-out punched her; he'd hire me back.
*I made a voodoo doll of myself I made in 7th grade. I gave her money, long jeans, a cat, and true love. I currently own all of those things. And I still have the doll.
*When I was little I wanted to be a storm chaser...until I realized they don't get paid much at all. I still maintain the life goal of seeing a tornado touch down. I have already seen a water spout though, in second grade.
*My birthday is Jan. 24. There is a book called The Secret Language of Birthdays and it states that Jan 24 people "function as icons, perfect embodiments of what others themselves would like to be." Yup, that's about right. It's how I chose my website namesâJan. 24, the day of the Aloof Icon.
*When I was 3, I was dragged to a NASCAR race. I slept through most of it.
*I lip sync to my iPod at the gym
*I have a hoodie that says: Must be 6 Feet Tall to Ride This Ride.
Friend Requests and TF/Paid assignment offers: I will not accept them if you have any of the following in your ports~

I don't do clichè or tasteless. Sorry.
suggest not working with this person (formatted as directed by the moderators):
MM#1382514âdo not recommend
MM#502788âdo not recommend (same person, different name)
MM#169696âdo not recommend (still the same person)
Please message me for other affiliates of this individual, including social and fashion events, agencies, and magazines in the Bmore/DC/NYC area. I wanted to list them so I would pop up in search results, but the mods won't allow that either. But check out my My Webpage
b/c that does include the info. Thanks.
I know, I look like a total biotch. Believe me, there are plenty of people I might not work with again b/c their work isn't up to par, or we just didn't click, or I respect another's experience with them, or I had a bad experience, but I wouldn't go so far as to publicly not recommend themâbecause my tastes are more modest, or different, or more evolved, or less evolved than yours. But this person has far exceeded any disgust I have had for a modeling "professional". And this has nothing to do with nudity or pressure! Omg, WHAT has this person done that is so much worse?
Ah, I love an air of mystery.
Also, here are some PUBLIC records that you may look into:
Fashion Icons BBB Rating
Mattison Agency BBB Rating
Kevyn Mattison of the Mattison Agency in New York
Ty Brown of Fashion Icons in Baltimore
(seriously, I have pay stubs, port pics, and contacts to prove it)
Additionally, this was not a photographer-model relationship.
Actual credits may be found on my site.
