Now, back in the day this was a paragraph saying that I'm an amateur photographer because of my lack of experience and my crummy equipment. Boy, has that changed.

Hello, I'm Anastasia DiMarca, AKA Staz. I have been in to photography for 5 years now, and I am continuing to improve. I love new ideas and new people, and I am completely FREE. Sometimes I might ask for assistance (like the $ to frame a piece of artwork for you if I'm particularly low on cash) but that's about it.

Perhaps in the future I might begin to charge, and I always accept donations, but know that you are NOT obligated to pay me. In return for this, all I ask is that we share our art. It is not yours, it is not mine, it is OURS, and thus both of us should be free to use it however we want, wherever we want.

I have a Nikon D200 with several lenses, but for some reason I prefer Dennis Griffin's stock lens. I'm still learning how to work with this magnificent piece of machinery so it's always a lesson when I do a photoshoot.

I have Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended, and Adobe Lightroom 2.3. I prefer as minimal photoshopping as possible. You're beautiful; I'm not going to thin you out or get rid of your adorable freckles just because that girl on Elle Magazine looks like someone blur-tool'd the crap out of her. Of course I will get rid of pimples. They are not apart of you afterall, they are either a phase or you are stressed out. And if you want me to shape your eyebrows and brighten your eyes, I'm fine with that as well. Nevertheless, precious Photoshop is primarily used to enhance my work.

Except for photomanipulation. I LOVE doing that...

NOTE: I bring my friend Shannan Strickland to photoshoots with me. She serves as someone who helps me carry around anything extra (outfits, camera bag, lighting kit, etc) and often doubles as an art director. She is learning how to be a freelance photographer (used to be a studio photographer at The Picture People, I believe) however, if you'd prefer she not come, please let me know in advance.
