NB: IT WOULD MEAN A GREAT DEAL TO LET ME KNOW A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF IF YOU DO CHOSE TO KEEP IN TOUCH. Will kindly not accept requests without one another talking first.
The simplest way in describing my work is- 'HIGH STREET FASHION'
My child hood and growing up on the culturally lavish island of Bali, has influenced me to be aware of traditional trends and values away from some Western society's pressures to find conformity. Being half Belgian and half Indonesian has helped further this understanding of both West and South Eastern ideology. I originally moved to Australia in 2004 to play soccer, although finding myself at an arts school I was quickly enveloped by my passion for expressing creativity. My collections' garments emphasise a fusion of alternative and traditional material and prints (such as batik) merged with silhouettes of formal wear, with an asymmetrical distinct character.
STYLE CAN ONLY BE CREATED AT A RISK, IT IS A FORM OF COURAGE, IT IS AN EXPOSED AND OFTEN INDEFENSIBLE POSITION. (Edwin Denby)
TO FIND SUCCESS ONE MUST RISK, AND ONE MIGHT FAIL; BUT RISK TO BE UNIQUE. (Myself)

MELBOURNE FASHION WEEK 2008:
I was approached and invited as the designer of 'Boon' and a young independent designer that uses organic or vintage/recycled fabrics to produce their ranges, to take part in a parade, called RAW, to promote sustainability in fashion. As part of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week this event was a great opportunity for upcoming designers to promote their label as well as creating awareness on the impact the fashion industry has on the environment. RAW strongly emphasised on demonstrating that fashion be sustainable without sacrificing luxury and style. It encouraged viewers to make smarter choices in labels they buy or shops they purchase from, which are still fashion savvy but less detrimental on the environment.
YOUNG DESIGNER'S YOUTH WEEK FASHION SHOW:
I was approached to display my work in the Chapel Off Chapel Young Designer’s Fashion Show. Post the show Jenny Bannister approached me to purchase my designs.
AND SEVERAL INDEPENDANT SHOWS FOR MY LABEL- BOON.
