Take a look at my fashion shoots on video here:
Two Important things:
1. I DON'T PAY MODELS. Sorry, But if you came to the shoot with over 10k in equipment and 12 years experience I could understand...
I understand models need money to survive. But I also know PLENTY of models (agency and non-signed) whom have worked with me in return for great new port work. A majority of the "PAID WORK" out there is not really stuff that will help your port, rather it will help get you more "PAID SHOOTS" (Glamour, Swim, Implied...) I don't shoot that type of work. There are way too many photogs out there already eager and ready to shoot the same stuff over and over and over again with all the pretty models on here. I like to think that I can offer diversity to models who like to branch out and create more unique and interesting work.
Next time you are in a book store pick up some overseas photography magazines. They are a great source of inspiration...
2. I DON'T SHOOT EVERYONE WHO SENDS ME REQUESTS. Trust me...I would if I did not have to work during the week. Honestly! But I am more selective now about whom I work with.
What type of people do I like. Well, if you have a diverse portfolio of work. A great attitude and outgoing personality in your images (yes I can tell) that's a good first step. Sometimes I have ideas and I am very specific about the look of the model.
NOTE: If you schedule something and then cancel with me there is a very high chance that it will never work in the future...I only want to work with the best, most committed people on here.
