I've been a photographer for 20+ years now. I've worked across a number of types of photography: wedding, fashion, travel, nature, and concerts.
I do quite a bit of portfolio development work for models and can advise you on which poses, looks, or wardrobe you should choose if you're developing your portfolio. I work with an experienced MUA and hair stylist as well to make sure you present yourself to your best advantage.
I'm new to the Triangle area; originally from Detroit, but lived in Boston for the past 8 years. So I don't know many people in the creative community here. I've met some great models and stylists in the past few months and I'm looking forward to meeting and becoming friends with more. Working in the arts is a different sort of lifestyle and it helps to know other people who have similar experiences. A big part of why I love photography is the chance to interact with so many wonderful people!
I'm willing to travel up to 5 hours away but will charge for gas past a 2 hour radius of 27302. I'm within 2 hours of Charlotte and 40 minutes of Raleigh.
I usually travel to Detroit 2-3 times a year, and Boston a few times a year too so if you're interested in setting something up I can schedule it when I'm next in town.
Just to warn you, I take every shoot seriously. I tend to over-prepare and like to really think through the intent of the images and all the elements involved. I don't need to exert control over every bit though and love the collaboration side of this work. I want input from the model and stylist. I also like to work with the strengths of the location and the model once we're on site and often the best work comes out of reacting to what the realities are of how the model moves and where they are. I'm willing to spend time letting the model get comfortable and relax into the shoot. The model's comfort both with the subject matter and with the physical conditions are a HIGH priority for me; I don't tend to do punishing things to models. I want every shoot to equally benefit everyone involved so that we all feel like it is a representation of our "best". The biggest compliment I can hear is that someone would want to work with me again.

No TF* at the moment. Maybe again come Fall, but paid shoots have to take priority right now. Contact me for my rates, which are reasonable. Deposits required for all sessions.
No-shows or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will not receive their deposits back.
Any testing sessions MUST confirm within 48 hours of a shoot or I will cancel the session. This is so that other people involved will have some time to schedule something else (including me). These sessions will NOT be rescheduled. I put a great deal of effort into art directing a shoot sometimes for weeks before-hand. Please be serious about seeing the project through to the end if you enter into an arrangement with me.
If I am providing wardrobe for a shoot you must be honest with me about your current measurements. If you aren't sure - remeasure. If clothes don't fit then I'll cancel the shoot and you will lose your deposit for the session.
