Thanks for taking time and looking at my porfile/port!! I was finally convinced that I needed to make an MUA port so I could be credited and actually have space to show my work. Therefore, here I am!!
I'm Aileen [known on here as a model as well, Aileen Antoinette
MM #: 696802], a freestyle makeup artist as well as a model. I have worked for Elizabeth Arden, Christian Dior, and Lancome. I have been freelancing recently for a little less than a year and plan on being on the scene for a while! I enjoy being behind the scenes as much as I enjoy being infront of the lens.
I specialize in
artistic and themed masking as well as the "dark/smokey" eye. I can do anything from simplistic glamour to the extremes of theatrical. My rates vary depending upon assignment and the extent of the work upon request. Rates are discussed at the time of booking. I am almost
ALWAYS avialable, just please give me at least a week's notice. I am currently a full-time student close to graduating w/ my 4 year degree in Criminal Justice w/ a minor in Psychology and working part time so travel is limited to the surrounding area, however, I will travel if expenses can be compensated and adequate prior notice is given.
Of course depending on time and location, I will usually stay throughout the duration of the shoot, as assistance to the photographer, support to the model [usually staying consistent w/ touchups or makeup changes throughout the shoot, as well as an "escort" figure to secure the comfort of the model and deter any unethical behavior. I take my role in the process professionally and seriously.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Although I totally admire artists who airbrush, and believe that it is beautiful work, please note that I DO NOT airbrush. I have learned simple skill in "body accenting" but yet, once again, I do NOT to extensive body painting. I have learned and have been perfecting my skill in nothing but brushes and as of right now, do not plan to pick up airbrushing or extensive body painting. However, thank you to those who inquire!!
NOTE: If you are going to set up a shoot, especially a tf/cd shoot, there is an understanding that there will be communication between the model, photographer, MUAs and hairstylists. Therefore, I WILL contantly keep in touch with you up until the shooting TIME [i.e. phone calls previously in the week and through the day OF] If you are not able to keep your committment to the shoot... it is only considerate and professional to please let me know ahead of time. DO NOT NO-CALL and NO-SHOW... I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate it if someone [i.e. model, hairstresser, mua] no called/no showed you... DON'T FLAKE ... reputation and credibility are VERY important... if you don't have that, you don't have anything...
"... application of beauty is such a delicate science ..."
I was always teased about wearing my field work shirt to photoshoots, but it made for a good out-take/behind the scenes picture!!
