I have been taking and appreciating images for about 17yrs now. Though in the last year or 2, I have been going about it more "seriously".
I love the art form and am always looking to better myself, gain new skills and push my self further. When I shoot, I shoot with a purpose, I don't just need "nice pictures of hot girls" in my portfolio, I am looking to convey or evoke an emotion. That being said, I look for models with a unique look, or someone who can tell a story within their poses and expression.
I tend to lean more to models who are tattooed and/or modified, though I do not exclusively shoot modified people. There is something about tattooed people that I am drawn to (perhaps it is because I am heavily tattooed). Tattoos tell a story, the story of their wearer, and I like to pass those stories on.
I do some TF* work, though it is somewhat limited. If I do a TF* session, I have a goal in mind, and something I want to capture.
I work with models that are:
-Friendly
-Interesting
-Unique
-Are interested in the "Art" of photography
I avoid Models who are:
-Bitchy
-Overly narcissistic (though a little is ok)
-Childish
-Always late, or are "No-Shows"
I am looking to collaborate and learn from other photographers who:
-Are willing to share and teach
-Appreciate the "art" of photography
-Have a "chill attitude"
-Treat their Models and assistants with respect
I Avoid Photographers who:
-Have the "your equipment is not expensive, therefore you suck" attitude.
-Believe that their style is the ONLY style worth anything.
-Are unwilling to teach their skills
-Are "in it" for all the "hot girls that are willing to do TF*"
There are a lot of great Models and great photographers out there, I prefer to spend my time with "Good People" rather then waste my time with talented a$$hats.
If you want to know more about me, read my Blog on my MySpace page or better yet...just ask!
