Ivy Lam is a successful Makeup artist known for her creativity, eye for detail, fresh and flawless approach to skin, and her strong skills as a Hair Stylist.
Born in Hong Kong and raised in Canada, Ivy has emerged as one of Toronto’s most sought after new talents. By attaining a bachelor of fine arts in Image Arts-New Media from Ryerson University, Ivy has strengthened her knowledge of Photography, Film, Video and Digital Imaging. With her understanding of lighting, and technical comprehension, Ivy motivates a seamless flow amongst the team on set.
Ivy has incorporated this solid foundation with her passion, Makeup. This tactile medium allows her to become a true artist, whether enhancing natural beauty, or achieving avant-garde expressions, her technique is an integral part of making breathtaking imagery.
She draws original inspiration from art, fashion, music, architecture, and design. Her professionalism, fast pace, friendly personality, quick thinking, and ability to work well under pressure has manifested into considerable recognition throughout the industry.
Ivy has collaborated with a wide variety of talented photographers including Arline Malakian, Barbara Cole, David Hou, Jason Wills,Walter Singh, Richard Dubois, and Yuri Dojc. As well as clients ranging from Alfred Sung, Elegance Bridals, Franco Mirabelli, and Tim Hortons to name a few.
Ivy’s editorial work has appeared nationally and internationally in magazines such as Salon, Sasson, Ion, Tribute Studio, Launchpad, Vision, and she is currently the beauty Editor for Blink Magazine.
