I've been shooting photos on and off for 25 years. I work with computers for a living, but photography is my real passion.
My focus has been fine art photography and my main goal is getting exhibited in galleries. I've recently been exhibited in two group show in San Francisco and one here in Portland, and I'm building portfolios for solo shows. I'm also looking to push myself in some new directions, and one that I've gotten very interested in is fashion photography.
I shoot a lot of medium format film, usually black and white. My favorite camera is a Hasselblad 500 C/M with a Zeiss lens. I'm really blown away by the level of detail I get with it. I also shoot with plastic cameras like Holgas and Dianas, and several Polaroids. I can get a lot of different kinds of looks with the various cameras and films I use.
I also recently picked up a Canon 5D Mark II, and I'm looking to do more digital work. I also am a member of a very nice coop studio space. It has some natural light, which I love.
I'm looking for models who will be fairly flexible and understanding of the fact that I'm new to this type of work. I'm not new to working with creative individuals, though.
