I've been involved with photography in various degrees for the last 30 years. The last 5 years I've participated in PhotoSIG, a site for posting and critiquing photographs, and have specialized mainly in bird in flight photos and nature. I've branched out into architecture, travel, journalism, and fine art nude/glamour more recently. I also belong to the Livermore Valley Camera Club. I've been doing a pretty good job in competitions there, and many of my photos have gone on to compete and win in the Northern California monthly competitions. I'm a past President of the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C).
I have a good day job and have no interest at the moment in commercial photography. I do this because I love it and I really enjoy making (or trying to make!) beautiful captivating images. I like to work with models who are comfortable modeling and dedicated - and who realize that making a good image can be hard work. I'm looking for TFCD collaborations in the San Francisco/East Bay area of almost any kind. I prefer petite athletic models, and will shoot anything from fashion and portrait to fine art nude. Natural light is best for me, but I'm finding indoor shots with make-shift lighting to be a fun challenge. Email is the best way to contact me: johngoyer@sbcglobal.net
I should also add that my work has taken me to Albuquerque somewhat regularly, and I've had the pleasure and honor of working with some incredible models there - professional, fun, attractive, and very easy to work with - my thanks goes out to them all because they contribute so much to the images we've created.
