Hats off to you for knowing who George Balanchine was. And my how he was quotable! You are so clearly ballet-trained and it gives you an elegance and beauty of pose that cannot be found any other way.
Balanchine once said something to the effect of "I don't need a woman to wash my dishes - I can wash my own dishes! I need a woman to dance!"
I love how he saw the world and how he adored women with such awe and esteem. I certainly share some of that awe and you contribute greatly to another Balanchine quote: "In my ballets, woman is first. Men are consorts. God made men to sing the praises of women. They are not equal to men: They are better." Amen, George.
