I am first an artist. I have been dancing for 23 years and modeling for 4. I have my BA in modern dance and have developed a personal body awareness of line and aesthetics. I love mixed media and collaborating with other artists to create a beautiful image. Whether I'm dancing, posing, editing, styling, choreographing, or coaching, I love contributing my experience to augment the creative process and product of the shoot.
Dancing has been and will always be my medium of expression, whether performed live or captured in photographs. No matter how I must appear to the world, I am true to myself when I dance. It is evident that one art augments another. As a society, individual artists have a large impact on their colleagues from all disciplines. One artist’s triumph should be celebrated by the entire community because we all benefit from one-another’s successes. I believe we should accept this fact gladly and appreciate the uniqueness of our work environment. I believe we should first, embrace our identities as artists—second, stop apologizing for ourselves—and third, unite with fellow artists to create a social awareness of the legitimacy of our field.
Beginning in January 2011, I FLY FOR FREE, so I am eager to travel and will do so if all other expenses are paid.
