Todd Zurell has been a working artist for over two decades. He is the Artistic Director and principal of Salon Zurell in Plantsville, Connecticut since its inception in 2004. Todd is an accomplished Hair Stylist, Make up Artist and Photographer.
Salon Zurell has been voted Best Salon in Southington, Best in Hartford and has been awarded the exclusive Top 20 Salon in the Country award by Salon Today Magazine. Todd has managed hair and makeup for a number of celebrities, including professional athletes, Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, Olympic figure skaters, models and TV personalities. As a hair stylist and make up artist, Todd has worked on a number of projects for a variety of fashion and design entities and networks, including Adrienne Vittadini, Clinique, ESPN, Nike, NBC30 and several local department stores and publications. While keeping one foot in local work to support his business and his community, Todd also stays active in the international fashion scene, styling models for print work with associates such as Race Models New York and Wilhelmina Models in Miami and for Maggie, Inc. in Boston. He has worked and trains with Redken, Goldwell, L'Oreal, M.A.C. NYC and The Powder Group. Todd is currently a National Educator for Benniefactor Products.
