so...i'm a photographer. my name is jonathan. i've been around for about 26 years. i'm based in san diego and being around cameras is my place in this world. i'm formally trained in architecture, with a bachelor of architecture, and have been in the design industry for many years. i feel that this knowledge gives me a very unique perspective on photography. i started shooting many years ago, B&W film, transition to digital a few years ago and have been shooting every opportunity i get since.
i'm open to any kind of shoot, including tfp/tfcp if it is worth my while. i do all my own processing, editing, etc... based on the nature of the shoot, you can expect images on the web as soon as the same day and discs within a reasonable time frame.with my current workload, tf* shoots can expect to see samples and finals between 2-4 weeks following the shoot. paid shoots always take precedent and times will be negotiated in the contract.
as a photographer, i don't pay model(s) unless i'm getting paid as well. just as much work goes in on both sides of the lens and that's just the reality of the situation. i've been paid. i've shot for free. just because you've been paid X# of dollars before doesn't mean you're going to get that every time. i do photography for the love and i can assure you that, although i like to have fun, i take this nothing less than absolutely seriously. i don't have a lot of rules but you have to be able to laugh...and i require a standard release to be signed.
i welcome the accompaniment of an escort but, be advised, if they act in a way that is counterproductive to the shoot, they will be asked to step back and if they continue, they will be asked to leave or i will leave myself.
my partner is crime, jon
http://www.modelmayhem.com/1029594 , is at just about every shoot i do, and i with him. you could say we're partners i guess...i assist him, he assists me. and if there's not much assisting to do you'll get 2 photogs for the price of one
i'm here to network, make friends, get ideas, and whatever may be. feel free to say hi, say my work rocks/sucks, or anything you may feel the need to express.
