My name is John Grimsley and I take photographs of people, places and things.
I specialize in environmental portraits, glamour and figure study portfolio sessions, general studio and product work, and fine art photography.
I am also interested in models that are comfortable posing for photography and lighting workshops.
I'd love to work with you. I look for interesting subjects that are friendly, have good communications skills and are comfortable in front of the camera.
I'm happy to help you build a portfolio, especially if you have an interesting look and are easy going.
Please plan to be on time (or at least call if plans change) when we arrange a mutually convenient shooting time.
I have access to convenient studio space or can arrange to shoot at your location or in the field, depending on your concept.
I am a founding member of the Atlanta Photographers Guild and member of PMA, the Roswell Photographic Society and serve on the advisory board of Atlanta Photography, Inc.
There will be a Supershoot on Sat April, 04 from 10a-5p. There will be 25 models to choose from and 8 different areas in the studio. You are guaranteed five models maybe more depending on how quickly everyone is able to work. Models and sets will be mutually agreed upon prior to the event. (We will have a meeting w/all photographers and possibly the MUA's). The cost would be $100 for each photographer (5 max) to help cover studio and MUA fees. The studio will be rented from 9a-6p. I would like to use one of the hours for networking amongst the models, MUA's, and photographers as well as a much needed break for everyone. So, please bring business cards. There is a stainless steel kitchen, white screen, black screen, dining table, western setting, conference room and more. Light refreshments will be available at no additional charge

Studio is a large facility with 2 CYC walls, seamless backdrops, green screen, 15 different color rollers, vehicle access ramp, 2 loading docks, make-up/dressing room, full kitchen, client lounge, conference area, wireless internet, and equipment rentals.

This event is being held to raise funds for Children's Restoration Network (CRN), a non-profit agency focusing on the plight of homeless children in our own Atlanta community. All the proceeds (minus studio rental)from this event will be donated to CRN, http://www. childrn. org, in time for Christmas.
