Do you help models develop their portfolios? Yes.
Can I bring a non-participating escort to the shoot? Of course.

Note: I keep my portfolio focused on MM; it is currently skewed very heavily eclectic/fine art but I DO do conventional shooting! Please don't be shy about contacting me about shoots, I have a lot of backlog to fill and may be able to find something just right!

I am a NJ-based photographer who mostly shoots fine art or editorial work. I started in travel/nature photography and have done shoots on five continents, but my current focus is on portrait/model shots. I have done shots in Paris, London and the West Coast (US), but am now mostly focused around my home area near NYC.

Please review my portfolio; I like to let everyone know what they are getting into from the start. Note that I CAN do normal/headshots as well; my main focus is just elsewhere. In general, I have 20-40 shoots planned or in preparation, so I am ALWAYS on the look for models and can usually find a place for almost any look. For this reason, I will almost always ask you if there is anything you are trying to accomplish. I know some folks want to know time, date, and specifics on the first conversation; I tend to try to put some thought into what YOU are looking to accomplish as well, to see if I have anything that matches.

SPECIFICS
Shoot locations: Almost all work is done in one of three places: my apartment (Union County, NJ); a studio in midtown Manhattan; or on location for special photos.

Compensation: I am happy to pay travel costs (if discussed and approved in advance) for models to the studio or shoot locations). I also provide models with one or more CDs containing high-resolution versions of all 'final' shots from the shoot. As an example, this would mean that for a shoot of 500 photos, approximately 25-50 photos on average would be provided. Want all the photos? Let's talk in advance. While I retain all copyrights, models obviously may use the pictures for any personal self-promotion, online portfolios, etc. I also happily provide credits wherever possible, and request the same in return. If you see a picture on this site with no credit, it means the model requested this. I also occasionally produce test prints of pictures for this reason or that; in the event I do this, I often provide any test prints to the model.

I am HAPPY to discuss other compensation options; do not feel limited by the above if you would like to work together and have a different set of parameters. For select looks or situations, there are also hourly or bulk rate pay options, though I do this very rarely. Still, e-mail is free;contact me and let's see if something can be worked out.

Shoot Notes: You are always, 100% of the time welcome to bring an escort to a shoot. I am happy to provide a place for them to comfortably sit and observe proceedings, and ask that they do not get involved in the shoot in any way. If you wish to bring additional people, ie personal MUA, personal hair stylists, etc., let me know and we can usually work something out. Note that I compensate model travel only; if you wish to bring additional people and have their travel compensated, this has to be specified and agreed upon prior to the shoot.

Likewise, I reserve the right to have assistants at the shoot, though I usually won't, and in cases where modesty may come into play, my primary focus is your comfort first.
