As I develop and explore my abilities as a photographer I have discovered a new sense of self that can only be accomplished by taking a risk and releasing the shutter.
    Creating art with the use of a camera is my way of escaping to a different place.  I do find a sense of peace working in other mediums of art, but the camera is my weapon of choice.  My goal is for the viewer to feel the music like I do and to see the moment as I did.
    We’re at the club, behind the barricade.  Not only do I hear the music, I feel it.  Once I recognize a certain riff, the hunt for the perfect moment begins. I scan the scene, looking for the expressions on the musicians’ faces, the lighting as it falls on them, their instruments, and that gesture or look that sets everything off. 
    The moment when my eye catches all the parts coming together is when I release the shutter, capturing an emotional image
