WHO: Hello, my name is Andrew. I'm a photographer and magazine Editor. I'm using Model Mayhem to source new models for my assorted photographic projects.
WHAT: I've been Editor of 7 magazines (see credits below) and am currently Editor of NZX, the biggest selling men's magazine in New Zealand.
WHY: I specialise in glamour photography. That ranges from soft, FHM-style shoots through to full nude. I'm seeking models for casual/fashion, bikini/lingerie, artistic/soft nude, or fully nude work. I shoot most of the main pictorials for NZX magazine.
Photos can be published in my magazines, pitched to other magazines, or be portfolio/concept shots.

WHERE: I've been Editor of 7 magazines. I was the founding Editor of 5 of those. They are:
1. REAL GROOVE — I was Editor of this NZ music magazine for one year from late 96 through 97. My first real job after university and OE. Got to interview rock stars…but I got bored of it!
2. BRASS — I created NZ's first “men's lifestyle” magazine in 98. Launched in 99 and assessed as “the most successful magazine launch in NZ publishing history”. I left in 2000. I returned for one issue in 08 as Editor before a decision was made to merge it into the better-performing NZX magazine.
3. RALPH — I was NZ Editor of this Australian men's lifestyle magazine when it rebranded as RALPH NEW ZEALAND in 00.
4. PICTURE PREMIUM NEW ZEALAND — Same company as RALPH. In 00 I was the founding Editor of a short-lived NZ version of an Aussie adult magazine. It sold heaps but was skittled in 01 by political interference. But it showed me the potential for doing…
5. NZX — I created NZ's most successful “adult magazine” in 01. It's published through a company called Vixen, who also stage the Erotica Expo. NZX is no.1 in its market, outselling Playboy etc in New Zealand. I'm still Editor of that.
6. ROGUE — I created NZ's fight sport magazine in 06. Only did one print edition before deciding the workload was too much. My friend Boa continues it online (and in print) at roguemag.com.
7. MODEL — Another short-lived magazine, just two issues in 07. It showcased glamour photography of NZ models. Proved viable but I put it on hiatus due to other work commitments.
On the aforementioned magazines I worked with many photographers, doing art direction, before getting behind the lens myself. I started doing fight photography in 2006 and glamour photography in 2007.
WHEN: Message me to make a date for a shoot or arrange a preliminary meeting to discuss doing a shoot. I'm based in downtown Auckland.
