Cairo Voltaire

I moved to the Berkshires during the summer of '03; I got stuck there, which is not to say that the area isn't beautiful or that I didn't share good times.  Recently however, I relocated to Central Massachusetts , currently I'm living and loving in the city of Worcester after emancipating myself from that idiomatically lead swinging palace of self-condemnation loving referred to as The @$$ho!e of the universe, a.k.a. North Adams.  It's been a nice turn around...

All in all I suppose I could say I was born and raised a sympathetic enemy of popular culture.  I've lived in many different states on the eastern coast of the United States, though no particular point of interest has captured my heart as of yet.  My plans for the next five years include numerous projects as a visual and spoken word artist, and also a musician, my hopes are that it will include a fair amount of travel.  Where I expect to be in the next ten years is fairly up for grabs.  I figure the spirit of some great metropolis will grab hold and claim me for its own.  Though, I realize that my rural habits will have to take precedent over the glamor and allure of city life, though I'll admit I've found that it glitters.

So... as for my professional life, photography is one of several passions of mine.  Others include writing, drawing, painting, singing, composing, digital manipulation, hair, makeup, style, ad nauseum...  I had for a time hoped to find a career for each of those passions, though as of late have begun seeing a bigger picture in which all may be incorporated.  Wish me well.  I could use all the luck I can get my hands on.

Generally speaking, I specialize in figurative work.  My tastes usually cater to that which is considered 'haunting' and unusual, but range from obscurely off kilter to the utterly bizarre.  My mother, as I was growing up, would remark on the fact, "Why must must everything you do look so spectral?!" She interrogated.  On more than just a few occasions, might I add.  I don't know that it was on purpose, or what I said to her in reply.  Most likely I shrugged, and perhaps pouted a bit.  I'm good at that.
