If you are a model that I seek and intend to negotiate pay, it is only because I do not want or feel that I have to teach you how to model. I will specifically ask your rates. If your portfolio does not reflect the experience then I am not interested in paying you at all. I would much rather go through an agency. Additionally, I am not interested in your official facebook or following you on twitter. You are a model here to convey a vision that I seek for creating conceptual Artwork.... Yes with a capital A.
Types of images I need! Vintage! When I say vintage I mean turn of the century, 19th century. Not pinup! Please, please note that when shoot, I shoot 8 decent plates a day with maybe 2 sets. (on a really good day). Exposures can range from one second to minutes. If you cannot hold still that long, or are not comfortable with being clamped in place while keeping a natural feel then I am not interested.
I am working on a fantastic project, and I trade with original TinTypes. How is that for a trade! Most wet plate photographers I know never let them go. I will give you one from every set we shoot. If you are interested please contact me to discuss my new tintype project.
I have worked with commercial clients worldwide but my interests right now are on my Fine Art spectrum of work.
